 Today I start "Jillian Michaels school of Fitness".  It's a group of people on her site following a curriculum.  I'm really hoping I can lose my last 33lbs with this plan.  I just thought since today was day 1, I would post the info here... and the assignments as well :-)

Hello everyone!

I'm Monica, and I'm 21. I currently reside in South Carolina, but I'm moving back to California this summer. As you can imagine, the South doesn't set the best example for weight loss and eating right. In fact, since I moved here last August, I gained 25 pounds. =(

I recently just started watching The Biggest Loser. Jillian is my favorite trainer on the show. She explains things in a way I can truly understand, and I can't tell you guys how refreshing that is. I think the best part about her and her philosophy on fitness is that she's tough because she cares about changing people's lives for the better. Her crazy antics have a purpose! Who knew! =P Like packerchc4 said, if I had the money, I'd go hire her! I'm not overweight in the slightest, I'm in the "slightly overweight" BMI category now, and that's enough of a wake up call for me to say, "Enough is enough!" I've had an on-off relationship with fitness since I graduated high school, and I think Jillian is my ticket to finally get the body I've been wanting for so long. I recently purchased her Black Pack DVD, and discovered it was the best buy, because it's the perfect combination but I needed some beginner DVDs, and wanted something that incorporated my interest in kickboxing as well. I'm thinking of buying the 30 Day Shred DVD once I'm at the intermediate level.

So, I'll keep you guys posted (literally!).

Hey ya'll!

I'm Mandy, 25 years from Michigan.  I've been watching BL for the past couple seasons, and Jillian is awesome.  I swear, if I had the money, I'd go and hire her to whip my behind into shape!!  I would do anything to have a rockin' body like her's:)  She's been doing such a great job working with the gals this season, and I'm so happy that Ali & Kelly are in the final 3.  I'm actually hoping that Roger gets voted to stay, as I haven't been much of a fan of Mark's.  But overall, I hope Ali wins it all, she's looking so good!

Anyway, I've made it a goal of mine this year to drop some weight.  I haven't set myself a particular weight, as I'm more interested in just getting moving again rather than being in such a sedentary lifestyle.  I recently bought the new BL Cardio Max video.  So far, I'm really loving it.  I haven't worked my way up to doing Jillian's segment yet, but I can't wait until I know I can do it, because it looks like it's going to be really good!  So far, I'm loving the first segment, led by Bob.  I would really recommend this video to others.  I really like the pace that it goes at, compared to other videos I've done.  I'm able to keep up, without it completely killing me.  Plus, it's not as high-impact.  But Bob makes a point that if you can't keep up, it's more important to just keep moving.   So if you can't keep up with the jumping jacks, at least keep moving.

I suppose I better post in intro, and I hope all members do the same. 

My name is Amy, and I created this group.  I created this group because Jillian Michaels has helped change my life.  I can't say she changed my life, because as she says, I need to take that credit myself.  She gave me the knowledge and inspired me to change.

I listen to her radio shows, watch The Biggest Loser, and The Biggest Loser Australia.  I also have every one of her workout DVD's (including the Cosmo Girl's one for teens.).  I have both her books as well.

I have about 30lbs to go for my ultimate goal, and until recently, I didn't think it was at all possible.

I just wanted to say hello and thanks to everyone who joins!
